THE COMPANY

We’re rapidly growing and looking for driven and customer-obsessed professionals to help our team revolutionize the career-services industry.

Career.io is dedicated to creating a better landscape for job seekers everywhere. Through our community of career experts and data insights, our brands —we empower professionals to take control of their careers, tell the best version of their career stories, and reach their full potential.

We’re committed to helping job seekers write the next chapter of their careers and we want to help write yours, too! We hire for growth and longevity because we value the happiness and well-being of our employees.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a creative, curious researcher who loves turning data into stories that spark media interest. As a PR Insights Analyst, you’ll uncover insights from both internal and public data sources and turn them into interesting narratives, rankings, and reports that support our global PR efforts.

This role is creativity first: perfect for someone who thinks like a PR and uses data as a tool for storytelling, not for complex modelling or heavy analytics. You’ll work with our PR team to identify angles, craft story ideas, and package data for journalists.

Please note this is a 100% remote/work-from-home position.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use data to spot stories, angles, and trends that appeal to international media and their audiences.
  • Explore internal data (resumes, hiring patterns, user behaviour) and public/third-party sources to uncover surprising angles.
  • Develop and run light research projects to support “state of” reports and trends pieces.
  • Translate raw or messy data into headlines.
  • Partner with the PR team to shape compelling narratives that resonate with our audience.
  • Comfortably collect or organize data using scraping tools such as Python, APIs or manual research.
  • Ensure data accuracy, transparency, and ethical use in all research.

THE MUST-HAVES

  • A strong creative instinct; you have the ability to turn ambiguous or incomplete data into stories that appeal to our audience.
  • 2 years of experience in data storytelling, insights research, editorial research or data-driven communications.
  • Ability to find “hooks” or trend narratives in data.
  • Excellent writing and explanation skills.
  • Familiarity with basic scraping tools, APIs or Python/R for simple data gathering.
  • Ability to work independently, juggling multiple projects while hitting deadlines.
  • Understanding of ethical/legal considerations in collecting and using third-party data.

At Career.io, we believe that diversity in thought and cultural background leads to better teams and stronger companies. Come join our team. Together, we’ll help others tell their career stories and land their dream jobs.
